HydroSub/AutoBoost Units
All HydroSub and AutoBoost units are available with an integrated direct injection foam proportioning system. These foam proportioning systems are highly accurate and are managed through the use of IQAN CAN bus control software, high accuracy flow meters, and variable speed concentrate pumps. In addition, all integrated foam proportioning systems include a bypass to allow foam concentrate to be returned to the original storage tank/container during testing and training. This minimizes foam concentrate costs and eliminates the environmental issues associated with foam discharges.
PowerFoam 60
The PowerFoam 60 is a stand-alone, diesel engine driven foam proportioning system. The PowerFoam 60 allows foam proportioning operations to be placed anywhere in the water supply system to reduce congestion in the immediate area of the fire. The PowerFoam 60:
- Is a modular, self-contained unit that can be provided as a containerized system or mounted aboard a truck or trailer. The unit has been plumbed to receive foam concentrate from either side.
- Is a direct injection type system that provides high proportioning accuracy through the use of IQAN CAN bus control software, high accuracy flow meters and variable speed concentrate pumps. There are no undue pressure losses in the supply line due to venturi devices or water stream driven motors because it is a direct injection system.
- Provides foam concentrate injection rates up to 317 GPM at 145 psi allowing it to support foam solution rates as high as:
- 1% proportioning – 31,700 GPM (requires the use of parallel hose lines)
- 3% proportioning – 10,566 GPM (requires the use of parallel hose lines)
- 6% proportioning – 5,280 GPM
- Includes a bypass to allow foam concentrate to be returned to the original storage tank/container during testing and training. This minimizes foam concentrate costs and eliminates the environmental issues associated with foam discharges.
