Hytrans Pump Units
Ignite Your Safety
Reliable Diesel-Powered Pump Units with Advanced Controls
Hytrans pump units are powered by highly reliable, environmentally compliant diesel engines with state-of-the-art controls to simplify operations and maximize safety. Hytrans pumps consist of HyrdoSubs and AutoBoost units.
Innovative Solutions for Modern Challenges
The state-of-the-art control systems on Hytrans pump units are based on the latest CAN Bus technology, and are highly robust and reliable. This has been demonstated over and over again for over 30 years in some of the harshest environments on earth (including humid salt air environments near the equator to the frozen tundra of Siberia). Even so, Hytrans knows that if something is going to go wrong, it will likely happen at the worst possible moment (Murphy’s law).
Sensor Redundancy
Redundant sensors in critical applications
Permissive Alarm Controls
Permissive controls that allow operators to acknowledge and disable non-critical alarm faults (at which point the system will assume the unit is within safe operating limits)
Single-Path Wiring
Single path, non-looped wiring with non-addressable (non-digital) sensors, solenoids, and actuators. Wireless communication is not utilized with the units
Custom Alarm Programming
Customizable programming (available as an option) for owner-specific alarm and shutdown processing
Wireless Pump Control
Wireless control and communications (available as an option) with pump units via radio and cellular technologies

Innovative Solutions for Modern Challenges
HydroSubs are the most reliable and flexible means of accessing water for fire suppression, flood control and dewatering. As shown in the picture below the heart of the HydroSub is a remote driven, submersible pump (pictures with a yellow float) that is placed directly in the water. Once powered up, the pump instantly begins to push water through the supply hose (not shown), allowing water sources of up to 197 ft, horizontally or vertically, from the power unit to be accessed (unless otherwise noted). Absolutely no vacuum priming is required, improving reliability, minimizing set up time, and freeing up manpower for more important tasks. The water supply from a HydroSub is always pressurized and no drafting is involved. As a result, any reliable water source within the reach of its power unit can be utilized in pre-lanning and credited as a water supply for ISO grading purposes.

HydroSub 60
This unit is readily mounted in a heavy-duty pickup truck or on a trailer, has a power (74 Hp) and lots of flow capacity. The HS 60 can access water almost 100 ft (horizontally and vertically) from its modular casing and is available with two impellor sizes and a flood pump to expand your capabilities. In addition, the strainer on the submersible pump can be easily removed to allow the pump to be used for relay pumping. The HS 60 is available with automatic pressure control and remote control. Representative flow capacity and hose lay lengths are demonstrated below.
-
Standard impeller: 1.500 lpm at 9,5 bar (400 GPM at 138 psi)
-
Hi-Flow impeller (optional): 4.000 lpm at 2,5 bar (1050 GPM at 35 psi)
-
The HS 60 can move 5,283 GPM over short distances and elevation increases with the flood pump attached.

HydroSub 150 & HydroSub 150 Dual Feed Pump (DFP)
The HS 150 is the world’s most widely used HydroSub—a powerful, flexible workhorse typically supplied in a containerized setup but easily mounted on a truck or trailer. It can access water up to 200 ft away (horizontal or vertical) and offers two impeller options, flood pumps, and a removable strainer for relay pumping. Automatic pressure control and remote operation are available.
The system includes a HydroSub 150 with two submersible pumps driven by a 214 HP four-cylinder Volvo diesel engine, delivering 6,340 GPM at 29 psi. It features a hydraulic support winch and powered hose reels. The HS 150-DFP variant adds two land-based boost pumps for challenging lifts and two lightweight portable hydraulic submersible pumps with floaters, deployed using 99 ft of hydraulic hose stored on dual powered reels. Each pump can be independently activated. Standard outlets include 8″ Storz or 10″ Multilug. Pump housings are stainless steel with bronze alloy impellers suitable for seawater. Each submersible weighs about 278 lbs, and total capacity remains 6,340 GPM at 29 psi.
-
Standard impeller : 2.500 lpm at 14 bar (660 GPM at 200 psi) or
3.800 lpm at 10 bar (1000 GPM at 150 psi) -
Hi-flow impeller (optional) : 8.500 lpm at 2,2 bar (2245 GPM at 32 psi)
-
FloodModule for HS150 (optional): 50.000 lpm (13.200 GPM)
-
The HS 150 can move 13,208 GPM over short distances and elevation increases with the flood pump attached.

AutoHydroSub 550/AutoBoost 550
The HS 550 has a submersible pump that feeds a boost pump in the modular housing. The unit packs a 670 Hp diesel engine and can access water almost 196 ft horizontally and 65 ft vertically from its modular casing. The unit is commonly used in its containerized configuration but is readily mounted on board a truck or trailer. When used as a HydroSub at 16 ft of lift the unit can move 4,095 GPM @ 174 psi discharge with 100 ft of 10 inch feed hose. Representative flow capacity and hose lay lengths when used as a HydroSub are demonstrated below:
-
At 10 meter or 33 ft pump lift: 15.000 lpm at 12 bar (4000 GPM at 150 psi)
-
At 15 meter or 50 ft pump lift: 14.000 lpm at 12 bar (3700 GPM at 175 psi)
-
The HS 500 is available with direct injection foam proportioning and remote control.
